About Smoke Free St. Louis Kids

Smoke Free St. Louis Kids is a project of the Children’s Environmental Health (CEH) program of the City of St. Louis Department of Health. CEH is committed to making housing healthier in St. Louis City. Building on CEH’s focus on healthy housing, Smoke Free St. Louis Kids is working to identify parents, pregnant women, and family members whose smoking in the home puts children at risk. SFSLK works with these smokers to help them understand the risks of second- and third-hand smoke. Our goal is to help families with young children understand how smoking contributes to lead poisoning and poor asthma health as well as other poor health effects. We’re also here to help families quit. For City residents who have children in their lives, Smoke Free St. Louis Kids offers:

  • 4 to 8 week smoking cessation classes
  • Coaching and counseling
  • Transportation and childcare assistance available
  • Referrals for nicotine replacement treatment
